Behind Tildonia Dolls

Welcome to Tildonia Dolls. My name is Olga, and together with my husband, Peter, I run our small, family-based Ragdoll cattery in the beautiful countryside of Goldendale, Washington.

Tildonia Dolls is much more than a breeding program to us. It is part of our home, our family, and the life we have built together.

How Our Country Life Began

Our journey to Goldendale started in a way we never expected.

We were living in Portland, Oregon, when one frightening experience changed the direction of our lives. A neighbor accidentally discharged a firearm, and the bullet passed dangerously close to my head. It was one of those moments that makes you reconsider what really matters and how you want to live.

We knew it was time for a change.

We left city life behind and moved to the peaceful countryside of Washington, where we found the space and quiet we had been looking for. Today, our home sits on ten beautiful acres that we share with our Ragdolls, goats, Great Pyrenees, and Bernese Mountain Dogs.

It is sometimes messy, frequently busy, and rarely quiet—but we wouldn’t trade it for anything.

How Tildonia Dolls Became Part of Our Life

My love for animals has always been a part of who I am, but Ragdolls became something very special to me.

Their extraordinary combination of beauty, intelligence, gentleness, and affection captured my heart. What began with a love for the breed gradually grew into a serious commitment to preserving and improving everything that makes a Ragdoll exceptional.

Tildonia Dolls was built slowly and intentionally. We searched internationally for cats and bloodlines that could contribute something meaningful to our breeding program. Over the years, our cats have come from respected programs in different parts of the world, bringing together pedigrees selected for health, temperament, structure, and beautiful Ragdoll type.

But pedigrees alone are never enough.

Proven in the Show Hall

I believe that if we are going to breed Ragdolls, we should continually evaluate the quality of our breeding program against the breed standard.

That is why showing our cats has become such an important part of Tildonia Dolls.

We actively exhibit in TICA and CFA, where our cats are evaluated by experienced judges alongside other beautiful representatives of the breed. Every title, final, and award means something to me—not simply because I love winning, but because the show hall gives us an independent measure of the work we are doing at home.

Our cats have earned championship titles and regional and international recognition, including Best Ragdoll in the TICA Northwest Region.

Behind every ribbon is an enormous amount of work, learning, grooming, traveling, and dedication—and I am incredibly proud of what our cats have accomplished.

Health Is the Foundation

Beautiful blue eyes and a luxurious coat may be what first makes someone fall in love with a Ragdoll, but responsible breeding must begin much deeper than appearance.

Health is one of the foundations of our program.

Our breeding cats undergo genetic screening for hereditary conditions relevant to the Ragdoll breed, and we carefully consider health, pedigree, temperament, and compatibility when planning our pairings.

We also believe in transparency. Health and genetic testing information for our breeding cats is available for families who would like to review it.

Our goal isn’t simply to produce beautiful kittens. It is to make thoughtful breeding decisions that give each generation the strongest foundation we can provide.

Raised in Our Home, Not in a Facility

Our kittens are born and raised as part of our home.

From their earliest weeks, they receive daily human interaction and gradually experience the normal sounds, routines, animals, and activity of family life.

As they grow, their world grows with them.

Socialization is extremely important to us because temperament isn’t something we think about only when a kitten is ready to leave. It is something we nurture from the beginning.

We want our kittens to grow into affectionate, confident companions who are comfortable being part of a family.

And because we live with large dogs ourselves, our kittens grow up in a home where Great Pyrenees and Bernese Mountain Dogs are simply part of life.

Every Kitten Is Personal

One of the hardest parts of breeding is saying goodbye.

We know our kittens individually long before their future families do. We watch personalities emerge, celebrate milestones, worry when someone has an upset stomach, laugh at the fearless little troublemakers, and inevitably fall in love with far too many of them.

That’s also why choosing homes matters so much to us.

We aren’t interested in producing as many kittens as possible. We would rather raise fewer kittens carefully and know that each one is going to a family prepared to love and care for them for the rest of their life.

When someone chooses a Tildonia Dolls kitten, I don’t see the relationship ending on pickup day. I love receiving photographs and updates and watching our babies grow into cherished members of their new families.

Some of the greatest rewards of breeding have come years later, when a family sends me a photograph and tells me how much their cat means to them.

More Than a Breeding Program

Tildonia Dolls has grown tremendously from where it began, but I never want it to lose the feeling that made me start in the first place.

Behind every pedigree is a cat we love.

Behind every show title are countless hours spent caring for that cat.

And behind every kitten is a little life that we have been entrusted with before placing it into someone else’s hands.

Our goal is to continue building a Ragdoll breeding program recognized for beautiful breed type, exceptional temperament, thoughtful health practices, and integrity—while remaining the small, personal cattery we intended Tildonia Dolls to be.
