HAVE QUESTIONS? WE HAVE ANSWERS

We’re here to help and happy to answer any questions you might have! Below, we’ve organized some of the most frequently asked questions into 8 helpful categories: Payment, Shipping, Feeding, Vaccinations, Grooming, Go-Home Day, Gender-Specific Questions, and Miscellaneous.

If your question isn’t covered here, don’t hesitate to reach out — we’ll get back to you as quickly as possible.

Payments

Our Ragdoll kittens are priced as follows:

• Pet Quality: $2,500 – $3,500

• Show Quality: $3,600 – $4,000

• Breeder Quality: $5,000 and up

Please note that we rarely place kittens with breeding rights. Breeder-quality kittens are only considered for reputable, TICA or CFA-registered breeders with a strong presence in the show community. A well-established relationship and mutual trust are essential before we approve any breeder placement.

 $500

Zelle, Venmo, Cash

  • If you’re picking up your kitten locally and would like to meet us in person, you’re welcome to pay the remaining balance in cash at the time of pickup.
  • For kittens requiring transport, the full balance must be paid at least two weeks prior to shipping.
  • Please keep in mind that Zelle and Venmo may have daily transfer limits set by your bank. In many cases, payments need to be made over 2–3 days. To avoid any delays — especially for local pickups — we recommend completing your payment a few days in advance.

NO

We love our returning families and are happy to offer a loyalty discount to repeat kitten owners.

If you’re bringing home a second kitten within 3 months of your last purchase, you’ll receive a $500 discount. If it’s within 4–6 months, you’ll receive a $250 discount.

We also occasionally offer discounts on kittens over 14 weeks of age. Starting around 14–16 weeks, prices are reduced by $500 every 4 weeks until the kitten finds a home or reaches a minimum price of $2,000. We very rarely price kittens below that point. Any available discounts will be automatically reflected on our website listings.

Feeding

We will provide you a 35% discount code with Royal Canine, you will receive an email straight from RC.

We free feed with dry kibble in multiple places around our home) so your kitten will be used to a brand and type that should be easily accessible to you. We feed Royal Canine Kitten dry and wet food. We also give wet food 2x per day. They should remain of dry kitten food until 12 months of age and always have wet food 2-3 times daily. Wet food is super important as it prevents urinary blockages and other health issues. Please do not give them a diet of mainly dry food. Dry food is not very healthy. It’s full of carbs and fillers, while it’s good, it’s the wet that’s essential for their health and well-being.

Abruptly switching your kitten’s food will cause Gi upset and it is recommended to feed them the food they have been eating and if switching foods do so gradually and slowly.

Vaccinations

  • Your kitten will receive all age-appropriate vaccinations before going home.
  • All of our kittens receive their first FVRCP vaccine (Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis, Calicivirus, and Panleukopenia) around 8-9 weeks of age, and a second FVRCP booster at 12 weeks. These two core vaccines are essential for building strong immunity.
  • Older kittens may also receive additional vaccines, such as the rabies vaccine, depending on their age and when they’re scheduled to leave for their new homes.
  • All vaccinations are administered by our licensed veterinarian.

Rarely. We recommend acquiring 2 rounds of the FVRCP vaccine as a kitten, then no more for life. Newer studies indicate that the rabies vaccine is only necessary 1 – 2 times per lifetime. We follow the recommendations of immunologist Dr. Ronald Schultz.

Unfortunately, the law requires the rabies vaccine be given more than is biologically healthy for our pets. Pet laws are slow to change to reflect current research on immunology. We are not advocates of breaking the law, but we also aren’t advocates of knowingly compromising our pets health. You choose.

Grooming

Yes. Your kitten will be bathed every 2 weeks starting at 6-7 weeks of age and brushed regularly.

Ragdolls have soft, semi-long coats that are low-maintenance compared to other longhaired breeds, but regular grooming still helps keep their fur in great shape and reduces shedding.

We recommend brushing your Ragdoll daily as a kitten to get them used to the routine.

Once they’re comfortable, brushing 2–3 times a week is usually enough to prevent tangles and keep their coat silky.

Bathing isn’t required often for most Ragdolls, but if you’d like to keep them extra fresh or if they tend to get into messes, a bath and blow-dry every 4–6 weeks can help reduce shedding and dander. Kittens who are very active or wiggly may benefit from more frequent bathing while they learn to tolerate the process.

In general, the more often you bathe, the less brushing you’ll need to do to manage loose fur.

We use and highly recommend the Grooming by Parita line for all our Ragdolls. This professional grooming system is gentle, effective, and specially formulated for longhaired breeds like Ragdolls.

Our grooming routine includes three essential steps:

• Step 1 – Pre-treatment

• Step 2 – Deep-cleansing shampoo

• Step 3 – Hydrating conditioner

These three steps are mandatory in our grooming process and help maintain a soft, tangle-free coat with a healthy shine.

You can find full product details and instructions listed on our website under the grooming section.

Go Home Day

Most kittens are ready to go home between 12–14 weeks of age, once they’ve received a clean bill of health from our vet and we feel they are socially and emotionally ready for the transition.

We offer two options for pickup:

• Local Pickup – We do not invite visitors into our home for the safety of our animals and family. However, we’re happy to meet you at a safe public location, such as a police station or veterinary clinic.

• Airport Delivery – We can also arrange transport through our trusted flight nanny, ensuring your kitten travels safely and comfortably.

Please note: All kittens must weigh at least 4 lbs before leaving us. If any health concerns arise or your kitten needs more time to mature, we will delay the go-home date until your kitten is truly ready.

YES

A carrier and a travel size litter box for the car.

Absolutely — I’m here for you. Please don’t hesitate to reach out with any questions or concerns, whether it’s a day after pickup or years down the road. I truly care about each kitten and want to support you throughout their life.

Gender Specific Questions

In our experience, male kittens are generally more laid-back, cuddly, and people-oriented, while females tend to be sassier, more active, and a little more vocal. For first-time cat

owners, we usually recommend a boy — they’re often easiergoing and love being doted on.

That said, some girls are total lovebugs too! I like to say my girls have big “lioness energy” — full of purrsonality and attitude. Meanwhile, most of my boys are just lazy little loafs who love a good cuddle.

Of course, these are just stereotypes, and every kitten is unique. If you’re interested in a particular baby, just ask — I’m always happy to tell you about their individual personality!

I usually recommend getting one male and one female — it gives you the best of both worlds! I personally love the dramatic personality differences between the two, and it’s fun to see how they balance each other out.

No need to worry — all of our kittens are spayed or neutered before they go to their new homes, so you won’t have to deal with hormonal behaviors like spraying.

Spraying is typically linked to reproductive hormones, and once a male is neutered early, especially before those behaviors begin, the risk is extremely low. Our goal is to make sure your kitten is not only healthy but also easy to live with from day one..

Miscellaneous

We are committed to the health and well-being of every kitten we raise. A copy of each breeding cat’s genetic test results is available on our website. Any cat found to carry concerning genetic conditions is respectfully retired from our breeding program.

Health Guarantee & FIP Policy

At Tildonia Dolls, the health and well-being of our Ragdoll kittens is our highest priority.

• All kittens are guaranteed to be free of internal and external parasites, and tested negative for FIV and FeLV at the time of adoption.

• We offer a 5-Year Genetic Health Guarantee, covering HCM and other testable inherited conditions.

FIP Support & Policy

While we take every precaution to raise healthy kittens, FIP (Feline Infectious Peritonitis) is the one condition we cannot guarantee against. FIP results from a mutation of the feline coronavirus, combined with a genetic predisposition that is currently untestable in all breeds. No preventative treatment or vaccine is available at this time.

However, we are here to support our families:

• We strongly recommend purchasing pet insurance, as many plans now cover FIP treatment expenses.

• If you are unable to pursue treatment, we encourage you to return the kitten to us so we can provide care and begin treatment.

• If your kitten is lost to FIP within the first year, we will offer a replacement kitten, provided an official necropsy report confirming FIP is submitted.

At Tildonia Dolls, we are committed to standing behind our kittens and supporting our families—every step of the way.

All Tildonia Dolls kittens are fully litter box trained before going to their new homes. They are accustomed to using regular litter boxes as well as automatic options such as Neakasa and Litter-Robot systems.

We’re happy to provide tips on how to smoothly transition your kitten to the litter box setup in your home, ensuring they continue their good habits right from the start.

Ragdolls are often described as having a dog-like personality—and it’s true! They’ll happily greet you at the door, follow you from room to room, enjoy belly rubs, and some even love a good game of fetch with their favorite toy.

Known for their calm and affectionate nature, Ragdolls are a gentle breed that prefers lounging near your feet over climbing your shelves. They’re typically relaxed, easygoing, and get along beautifully with children, other cats, and even well-mannered dogs.

Ragdolls are best kept indoors only. Their trusting and laid-back personality makes them poorly suited for outdoor dangers. In addition, their soft coats can easily collect leaves, dirt, and debris.

It’s important to remember that cats often form habits for life based on a single experience. For this reason, we don’t recommend introducing your Ragdoll to the outdoors, even with a harness.

If you’d like to give them safe outdoor enrichment, consider setting up a sunny window perch or a secure catio—a fully enclosed outdoor space—where they can watch birds and enjoy the breeze while staying protected.

Ragdolls are generally a robust and healthy breed. In the past, they were occasionally affected by a genetic heart condition known as Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy (HCM). This disease often went undetected until after a cat had been bred, unknowingly passing the gene to future generations. Thankfully, modern DNA testing now allows responsible breeders to screen for HCM before breeding, making the condition far less common in well-bred Ragdolls today.

Ragdolls are a large, strong, and well-built breed. Males typically weigh between 15–20 pounds, while females are usually 9–15 pounds. Their coats are semi-long, incredibly soft—often compared to rabbit fur—and they do not have a dense undercoat, which means they’re less likely to mat and usually don’t require frequent grooming. That said, many Ragdolls enjoy a gentle brushing from time to time.

We do not recommend shaving Ragdolls. Their coat is naturally low-maintenance, and shaving can permanently affect the texture and appearance of their luxurious fur.

In today's world, inviting strangers into our home poses risks. When you request to visit our cattery, you are asking to visit our private residence, where we live with our family. We are not a pet shop, and we do not offer visits simply for entertainment or casual browsing.

For the safety of our family and our cats, we no longer allow visitors to our home, even if a deposit has been placed. Instead, all kitten pickups will take place at a designated police department parking lot or at our veterinarian’s clinic. This ensures a safe and neutral meeting location for both parties.

We do not allow visits to meet the kittens or parents before adoption. However, we provide photos and videos of all parents and kittens during the adoption process, and many are available on our Facebook and Instagram pages. We are also more than happy to schedule a video call so you can see the kittens and their environment virtually.

If you would like additional reassurance, you are always welcome to call our veterinarian and ask for her opinion about us. She visits us frequently and knows our cattery well.

Additionally, you are welcome to meet us at a CFA or TICA cat show, as we regularly attend these events. This is a great opportunity to see our cats in person and learn more about the breed.

We also share many pictures and videos on our Facebook and Instagram. This is a great way to get to know us and our cats better, see regular updates, and follow our journey.

Before bringing a new family member home, we strongly encourage you to research the breed and ensure your home is properly prepared. Responsible pet ownership starts with knowledge and commitment.

Yes. We sell breeders for 5k -6k. There is a pre-approval process. To start, fill out a kitten application.

We retire our queens when it’s no longer in their best interest to continue breeding, and our kings when they no longer bring the genetic diversity we’re looking for in our program.

Since each cat is unique, retirement timing varies — but on average, we retire about three adult cats per year.

Our retired adults are lovingly placed into forever homes, and we are very selective about where they go. They’ve been a special part of our cattery, and we want them to enjoy a peaceful, pampered life in their next chapter.

A small adoption fee applies, which helps cover their veterinary care and transition. If you’re interested in welcoming one of our sweet retired cats into your home, please feel free to reach out!
